Chapter 1 - Starting over.
'Blood. Blood everywhere. Screaming.. why is mom screaming? Police sirens..our front door busted open, police officers with guns pointed towards me. Fear. Fear running through me as they yell at him to let me go...the dull knife blade pressing into my flesh. Crying..crying hard, asking "Why, why are you doing this?!" Time standing still now, until: one shot! Two shots! He falls to the ground, slicing my neck as he pulls me down with him. Haven. Daryl Dixon X Reader
It was the end. Rick saw no way out of this. The herd of walkers was pressing in slowly, and everyone was scared. Tired. Glenn, Daryl, and he were the only ones who could fully fight them. “Rick! What are we going to do?!” Glenn’s voice snapped him back, ears picking up a distinctive roar.
“Everyone, tighten together!” Lori, Carl, and Beth were shoved into the middle as the group packed together. Four black Hummers roared in, running over the walkers. Circling around, passenger doors opened. “Go! Get in!” The newcomers held the walkers at bay as everyone was shoved in. Rick climbed in last, t

You were running. The zombie was right behind you with outstretched arms. You didn’t dare turn around to see how much of a lead you had. You cursed yourself over and over again for dropping your sheath of arrows. Without them, your bow was useless. Just a strip of wood that couldn’t even bash a head in.
You were so lost in thought that you didn’t notice the slight dip in the ground. Your foot caught in the hole, and you crashed to the ground.
You tried to stand up but before you could, the zombie was pushing you against the ground, snapping at your face. You struggled and kicked but you co

Midnight Swim (Daryl Dixon X Reader)
Author's Note: This story takes place in season three or season four of the Walking Dead (I can't remember which, sorry! >.< ), so if you haven't seen it, it probably won't make too much sense. Just a warning.
You slipped under the cool water, leaving your damp clothes on the grass. You had left the prison so you could wash your clothes and bathe in peace. Well, that, and you hadn’t been swimming in ages, and damn it you wanted to go swimming! There were walkers out here of course, but being in the prison wasn’t so safe anymore. Not with people turning in to walkers because of that damn flu.
You sighed as you swam around, wetti

How you wake up with Daryl Dixon
When you first open your eyes, you're not sure why you woke up. It is still dark out and Daryl is sleeping peacefully next to you. You take a moment to appreciate the way he looks when he's sleeping, relaxed and peaceful. Then you hear a noise, like a strange shuffling. Fear shoots through you and you snap your head up to look around. You and Daryl had set up a small tent near the edge of camp. Rick trusted you both to protect the borders. But no matter how many walkers you see or kill, you are still terrified at the sight of them. It's something you never got over and Daryl said it's a good thing, that it means you're alive. You hea

Push-ups (Daryl Dixon X Reader)
"Twenty," you count, lowering yourself to the ground. "Twenty-one.....Twenty-two." You grunt, finally stopping at thirty. You push yourself up from the ground one last time. You hate push-ups, but you felt you had to do them to keep your strength up. As you lift your head, you see a shoe. Startled, you glance up to see Daryl leaning against the doorway to your cell, casually watching you.
You scramble up from the ground, embarrassed. "Uh. Hi, Daryl," you mumble, not meeting his eyes.
"Why'd you stop?" Daryl asks gruffly, not acknowledging your greeting.
"I have to do sit-ups now," you say, not really certain why you said that.
